Congratulations to Hallie Johnson for being chosen as the Central Wyoming College Athlete of the Week!

Hallie is a sophomore on the Rustler volleyball team where she plays Libero. Hallie hails from Brigham City, Utah, and came to CWC to study elementary education.

Hallie was recognized as NJCAA Region 9-North Defensive Player of the Week for her stellar performances in Salt Lake City, Utah this past weekend. Johnson had 70 digs over the course of four games played, with a career high 39 against Hillsborough Community College on Friday, August 29.

She has displayed an outstanding performance this past weekend, Hallie exemplified the qualities of a standout player, leading our team in digs and excelling at her duties as our libero this weekend. In one match she has a career high of 39 digs against Hillsborough during a five set hard-fought battle. In addition to this weekend she demonstrates exceptional sportsmanship, motivated teammates and has tireless work ethic both in games and in practice. She is a great role model for the team and a true competitor. For these reasons, Hallie is highly recommended for this recognition."
