Davis and DeCook Join Rustler Staff

Kim Davis has been named the head volleyball coach for the Central Wyoming Rustlers. Kim's coaching experience spans over 30 years at all levels. Most recently, she was the varsity volleyball coach at Riverton High School during the 2022 season. She was the head coach at Wheatland High School in Wheatland, Wyoming from 1998-2009. At Wheatland, her team qualified for the state tournament 10 out of 12 years. Her Wheatland teams won the state championship four times and finished second four times. Coach Davis was named the 3A Coach of the Year four times. She was chosen to coach in the state all-star games three times. Coach Davis was an assistant coach in Chadron, Nebraska, and was the head coach for two years at Hay Springs High School in Hay Springs, Nebraska. Her previous college coaching experience was gained at Chadron State College as a coaching assistant for three seasons (2019-2021). Kim played collegiate volleyball and basketball for two seasons at Northeastern Junior College. Davis moved to Riverton in the fall of 2021 with her husband, Devin, a Riverton native. They have three children Brandon (Riverton, WY), Tyler (Durango, CO), and Maaryn (Denver, CO). Coach Davis is excited to lead the Rustler volleyball team and continue the program's recent success.

Ken Decook has joined the Rustler staff, being named the Head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach.  DeCook has proven himself as a coach that can lead a winning program as well as set a strong culture within a team.  DeCook comes to CWC with extensive college coaching experience. He has spent years at Colorado Northwestern, The University of Pikeville, and launched the program at William Penn University in 1998. Additionally, he has coached various Club teams, travel teams, and high school programs.  "I want to thank Steve Barlow and the entire college community for bringing me to campus and offering me this dynamic opportunity," DeCook said.  "I am very impressed with Riverton, campus, the facilities, the staff and the welcoming spirit."  Coach DeCook attended and played at Central University of Iowa, earned a BA from William Penn University, and a MA from Madison University.
