Rustler golf teams resume competition this weekend when they travel to Lamar, Colorado.  The event is scheduled for 36 holes over two days, Thursday and Friday.

Last Fall:

The Rustler women had a great fall season.  They are in four of the top five individual spots, lead by Freshman Macy Jacobson.  The Lander native would win all but one of the fall events.  Sam Prom (Soph, Logan, UT) is 2nd.  Nicholynne Garbutt is 3rd right now (Freshman, Casper Natrona County), and Alexis Cornell is fifth (Freshman, Evanston, WY).  Unless something really crazy happens, the women should be #1 and earn a trip to Nationals.  Other women's golf team members are:  Ariana Curtis (Soph, Riverton, WY); Kaylee Smith (Soph, Thermopolis, WY) and Makayla Waldock (Freshman, Lusk, WY).

The men's team is third and on the bubble of a National appearance.  Cameron Carter (Sophomore, Casper, WY Kelly Walsh) is fifth on the men's side right now and in good position for an individual spot at Nationals.  Other men's team members are:  Jorden James (Freshman, Riverton, WY) James Bisiar (Casper, WY Natrona County), Chrsitian Hnilicka (Freshman, Lander, WY) and Dawson Ritt (Sophomore, Cody, WY).

"The weather hasn't been real conducive to golf in our area.  Some kids may get some rounds in over spring break at other places, but this weekend will be the first time on the course for kids since last fall," explained Coach Russ Holgate.

They begin the spring golf season on the road at Lamar, Colorado this Thursday and Friday.
