The CWC Women's golf team picked up where they left off in the fall.  Playing in their first event of the spring season, the CWC women won their 7th tournament in a row and remain undefeated.   Their first golf event in Lamar, Colorado, was shortened to a 27 hole event rather than 36 due to the weather.

Sophomore Samalie Prom won her 2nd individual title.  She was 8 shots better than her own teammate, Nichoylynne Garbutt who had a 136 followed by CWC Freshman Macy Jacobson in third with a 137.   The win qualifies the women's golf team for Nationals

Coach Russ Holgate liked the way his ladies played, ". I was pleased with their play on a weather shortened tournament. Nicholynne Garbutt and Kaylee Smith played really well this tournament and it was good to see them putting up good scores. Our ladies have qualified for the National Tournament in May at Daytona Beach, Florida, so now our focus has changed a bit.  We will be focusing on getting our ladies ready for that tournament."

The Golf Team heads to McCook, NE this weekend.
