McCook Tournament Shortened by Weather

The men's and women's golf teams went to McCook, NE for a tournament over the weekend, but due to inclement weather, their play was shortened to one day.

The men's team played "outstanding," according to Coach Holgate.  "I feel they are now coming together as a contender for nationals."  Cameron Carter led the Rustler men with a 4 over par76 to tie for first place, and Dawson Ritt shot a score of 5 over 77 to clench 2nd place.  Teammate, Jorden James, also made a top 10 finish.  As a team, the men placed 2nd.

On the women's side, Sam Prom and Nicholynne Garbutt tied for 2nd place.  Alexis Cornell placed 3rd and teammate Kaylee Smith finished 7th.  "We didn't have our best tournament, but the ladies still came out on top in the end," said Coach Holgate.

The golf teams will head to Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO on April 4th.
