The men's basketball team made the long haul to Rangley, CO to battle Colorado Northwestern Community College late Tuesday evening and came home with a hard fought win.  The Rustlers high potent offense had five score in double figures, while committing only nine turnovers in the game.  The Rustlers went to the line 30 times and outrebounded the Spartans, 38 -34.  Leading scorers for CWC were Broc Finstuen and Baris Ulker with 20 points each, followed by teammates Devon Colley (14), Marquis White (11) and Henry Tanksley (10).

"Over the course of the season, basketball teams are presented with countless learning experiences and tonight was definitely that for us.  Before the game I talked to our guys about how this is our first real road test and explained how much different that can be than playing at home or a neutral floor, and that definitely held true tonight.  Thankfully we could have this experience and still come away with a win.  We now have experience playing in a hostile environment, guys playing with foul trouble, being down late in a game and winning on the road.  This will be very valuable to us over the course of the season."  -Coach Jack Nelson
