Rustler men start the new year off with a win

The Rustlers start the new year off with a bang, extending their record to 12-4 beating Williston State College, 90-81.

Devon Colley was a huge factor in the Rustlers victory scoring 24 points, while having 4 assists and 5 rebounds.  Colter Galante was the second leading scorer of the night with 13 points.  Other leading scorers for the Rustlers were Irshaad Hunte (12), Henry Tanksley (11) and Broc Finstuen (10).

"Overall, I would have to say that I am very happy with our first game back from break.  Obviously winning is great, but just really proud of our guys for the effort they put forth and fighting through fatigue.  The first game back from Christmas break is always tough because you don't have the same conditioning level or the same rhythm as you did before break.  I think this game will go a long way in helping us prepare for the upcoming conference season.  I thought we showed a lot of maturity as a team because of how we handled diversity.  Earlier in the season I don't know that we would have responded so well to losing the lead late in the second half like that and still coming back to win." -Coach Nelson

The Rustlers will take on Sheridan College next Wednesday, January 10th at 7:30pm (at Sheridan).
