Taylor Lavery named Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Taylor Lavery enters his first season as the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Central Wyoming College in 2018-19. He will be involved in all areas of the program, including day-to-day operations, recruiting, opponent scouting, player development and building and organizing travel plans.

 

Prior to CWC, Lavery spent one season as an assistant at Holy Names University in Oakland, California. During his year there, he helped the team earn their highest winning percentage in program history since moving to NCAA Division II. 

 

Lavery makes his way to Riverton after a stellar collegiate playing career at NCAA Division II University of Minnesota-Duluth and NJCAA DII Kishwaukee College. He was named to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) team his senior year. He scored 17.8 points per game, which was eighth in the conference, and shot 84.1% from the free throw line, which was fourth in the conference. At Kishwaukee, he was named All-Region both his freshman and sophomores years. Following his playing career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Lavery played one season of professional basketball for BCM Baia Mare in Romania. 

 

A native of Dyer, Indiana, Lavery holds a Bachelors of Arts in Communications with a Minor in Business from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and his Associate's of Arts from Kishwaukee College.
