Team Play Leads to Blowout Against Colorado Northwestern

Career nights from Devin Rottweiler, Brady Fullerton, and Caio Rosa de Oliveira propelled the CWC Men's Basketball team to a 101-72 victory over Colorado Northwestern. The game was controlled by the Rustlers for a majority of the game. Early 3-point baskets from James Woods, David Simental, and Fullerton gave the Rustlers the early lead.  The rest of the first half was dominated by the inside play of Rottweiler, finishing the first half a perfect 7-7 from the field, 5-5 from the free throw line, and 19 points. The halftime score was 58-36 CWC.

The second half saw much of the same from the Rustlers. With the lead stretching to 30 points midway through the half. The team performance from the Rustlers was the best of the season, with each player recording a made basket, assist, and steal. "To say I am proud of the performance tonight would be an understatement. Not only do the stats indicate how well we played, the amount of high fives, charges, and enthusiasm for each other was at an all-time high for the season. The 7 players who saw the floor tonight played for each other and the final score reflected that." Quoted Coach Schmit after the game.

Rottweiler, Fullerton, and de Oliveira all had career highs. Rottweiler finished the game with 32 points on 12-14 FG's, Fullerton had 22 points and 9 assists, and de Oliveira with 10 points.  The Rustlers were led on the glass by Marko Pavlovic's 8 rebounds.

The Rustlers will be back in action on Saturday, December 8th taking on Colorado Northwestern at 4:00 PM in the Rustler Gym.
