The Rustlers hosted Northeastern Junior College (Sterling, CO) on Wednesday, and beat them 84-79.  NJC was up 39-32 going into halftime, but the Rustlers came back in the second half, outscoring NJC 52-40.  

It was the second time the Rustlers would take on the Plainsmen of NJC this season.  Both games were neck and neck for the full forty minutes.  NJC beat Central at their house, 78-75 in early November.

Sophomore Jacob Smith had an outstanding game leading the Rustlers with 26 points and 2 assists.  Smith also had 3 of the teams 16 steals throughout the night.  Teammate Darius Guinn had 18 points, 2 assists and 7 rebounds.  Jerroda Briscoe had 15 points and 6 rebounds, and Freshman Treyton Paxton added 12 points and 3 steals.

Up Next:  Central will play Rexburg United at home on Friday at 7:30pm, and will also host Colorado Northwestern on Saturday at 4:00pm.
