Central Wyoming College Rustlers Men's Basketball Team Gears up for 2025 Season
The Central Wyoming College Rustlers, under the guidance of Head Coach Patrick Rafferty, are preparing to launch their 2025 men's basketball season. This season marks Coach Rafferty's second consecutive year in his current tenure with the Rustlers, adding to his previous experience from 2013 to 2016.
Coming off a challenging previous season with an overall record of 10-20 and a conference record of 5-7, the Rustlers qualified for the NJCAA Region 9 tournament, showcasing their resilience and capability. The team looks to improve this record with a series of games scheduled both home and away. Notably, the season's opener against Utah State Eastern on Oct 31 at Rock Springs, WY, is set to kickstart their ambitious schedule.
The squad avidly anticipates the Riverton home game on November 7 against Rocky Mountain College, marking their first home game of the season. Another highlight will be the Sophomore Night on February 28 against Western Wyoming Community College, promising an exciting event at their home venue in Riverton, WY. The Rustlers will also host the CWC Run & Gun Classic on December 5 and 6, further showcasing their active season calendar.
The Rustlers return a great amount of last year's production with players like Camrin Gulley, Jordan Peel, Julian Ormond, Isaac Patik, and Hunter Trego, who all together made up 68% of PPG average from the previous season, and are expected to make significant impacts. These players are among the core group who are geared up to elevate the team's performance throughout the upcoming matches.
The Rustlers are set on a course for recovery and success in the 2025 season, aiming to surpass their previous achievements and enhance their competitive edge in the NJCAA Region 9 circuit.
