Rustlers tie one and lose one in Colorado

The Rustlers traveled to Colorado over the weekend and came back with a tie against Trinidad State and a loss to Otero Junior College.

First up was Trinidad State Junior College on Friday, September 23rd.  It was evenly matched against Trinidad with both teams getting chances to take the lead.  The Rustlers had a good overtime chance to win, but the ball hit the post.  Coach Harrison stated, "We played well during this match. We had a couple of good chances in overtime and their goalie made some good saves."

Up next on Saturday, September 24th was Otero Junior College.  Central was pretty evenly matched with Otero during the 1st half with a 0-0 score.  Otero scored early in the 2nd half and went off from there. "We played a really good first half and kept our shape well. Early in the 2nd half, Otero scored quickly and our momentum fell from there. Playing back to back got us with our depth and Otero not playing yesterday," stated Harrison.

The Rustlers will host Northwest College on Saturday, October 1st at 3pm.
