
Rustlers Runners Weather Tough Conditions at Montana State University-Billings Track Meet
In a challenging display of resilience and endurance, the Central Wyoming College Rustlers faced off against Rocky Mountain College at a track meet hosted by Montana State University-Billings on March 22. The meet tested the athletes' mettle as they competed under harsh weather conditions, including 40+ MPH wind gusts, a mix of rain and snow, and freezing temperatures.
The event marked a significant milestone for two Rustlers athletes, freshmen Easton Haskell and Madi Fossey, who made their college-level debut at the meet. Despite the adverse weather, Haskell competed in the 1500M, showing promising endurance and skill. Concurrently, Fossey demonstrated her competitive spirit in the 800M race. Both athletes showcased courage and determination, setting a high standard for their collegiate careers.
This meet not only highlighted the Rustlers' ability to compete under tough conditions but also underscored the team's deep commitment to excellence and teamwork. As these young athletes continue to develop, they bring a bright future to the Central Wyoming College Cross Country team.
