"I am extremely impressed with the efforts of our coaching staff and all members of the rodeo team as they work hard and compete so tenaciously at every rodeo.  They competed well and worked tirelessly this past week to ensure the Central Wyoming College Rodeo was a success in all aspects," said Dean of Students/Athletic Director Steve Barlow.

Tymber Taylor found her way to a first place finish in goat tying with a 15.2 average.  Tymber was in 2^nd place after the long go and then had the best time of the rodeo with a 7.5 in the short go to put her in 1^st.  Tiara Bartlett finished the goat tying event in 8^th place overall with an 18.4 average, while Kassie Kautzman finished 10^th in the break away event.  Karson Bradley finished the rodeo in 5^th place in a very tight barrel competition with a 35.46 average.

Four CWC cowboys finished in the top ten in the steer wrestling event in front of their home crowd.  Daniel Huxtable led the way as he finished 2^nd with a 8.7 average, Taylor Davidson 5^th, Brady Thurston 8^th and Thomas Davis 10^th.  Davis also finished in 4^th place in bareback with a 138 average.  Cole Trainor also placed in the top ten in team roping as he finished 10^th overall.

"As a whole, I can't say enough about this team and the way that they conduct themselves and the work ethic they showed once again.  It is a very taxing weekend putting on a rodeo and they all did a great job.  I had numerous people tell me what a fine group they are and noticed how hard they worked, and as their coach, that makes me really proud.  The women's team was led by Tymber Taylor this past weekend.  She placed 2nd in the long round of the goat tying event and then won the short round and the average.  I've been making side bets with her, and each time I do, she wins.  I now have to tie three goats after her last two weeks of winning, and I'm happy to do it.  Karson Bradley has been consistent in the barrels and placed fifth this past weekend.  The men's team didn't have the weekend they wanted, but there is still six rodeos remaining and they will continue working hard throughout the winter.  Leading the way this past weekend was Thomas Davis, placing in the bareback riding again and coming back in the steer wrestling.  Taylor Davidson has had a great fall season, making it back in all for short rounds and placing each weekend in the steer wrestling, which has him sitting first in the region at this point.  Danny Huxtable has had two great weekends, and I'm not surprised he did so well at home.  Unfortunately, due to some equine illness going on in Cheyenne and at LCCC, the rodeo this coming weekend has been cancelled and will be moving to a weekend either in March or April.  We are going to take a couple weeks off practice to get caught up on school work and then come back the last week of October to start back up with off season practice.  I'm excited about this team and their work ethic and have complete faith that they will do the things it takes this winter to put themselves in a position to go to the CNFR next June."  -Coach Schrock
