Rustlers Compete at Final Fall Rodeo

Karson Bradley made it back to the short round after turning in a time of 16.46 in the barrel racing, splitting fifth and sixth in the long round. She failed to better her time in the short round with a 16.58 dropping her to eighth in the average. She is currently sitting third in the region after the fall rodeos. Teammate Maddie Meidell made it back in the breakaway roping after stopping the clock in 2.9 seconds to place tenth in the long round, but broke out in the short round which tacked a ten second penalty onto her time of 3.5 giving her a total time on two of 16.4.  This placed her seventh over all in the average. 

 

Brady Thurston led the way for the men's team winning average in the steer wrestling. He threw his long round steer down in 3.7 seconds, which was the third fastest time in that round, followed by a 3.8 in the short round giving him a 7.5 on two. Cole Trainor also made it back in the steer wresting with a 4.9 in the long round placing him tenth, but moved up to sixth in the average after throwing a strong steer down in the short round in 6.7. On the other end of the aren,a the Rustlers had two bareback riders representing them in the short round, Thomas Davis and Colton Clemens. Colton won the long round with an 81 which was the highest marked ride of the weekend, but had a weaker horse in the short round that only allowed him to be 69 points. His total on two of 150 points gave him enough points to place third in the average. Thomas came back to the short round in eighth position after a 67 point ride, but improved his score in the short round with a 73 bumping him up to sixth in the average.
