Spring Rodeo Starting in 5 Weeks

The spring season is just around the corner for the Rustler Rodeo Team. Practice and morning workouts are back in full swing as the Rusters prepare for their first competition in just five short weeks.

The team is working hard and eager to get back at it after an extended period of time due to Covid 19 restrictions. "Typically we get to practice a lot more in the off season than we have been able to this year," said Coach Schrock. "This team has done everything I, or the college has asked of them this year trying to navigate through this whole Covid 19 deal, all the while keeping great attitudes throughout the season. Now we are getting back at it and things look sharp, horses look good and the energy is high. We are looking forward to the season, no doubt. Currently, myself and the other coaches are trying to finish up recruiting to fill up the roster for next year. We have quit a few of the women who will be moving on next year so things will look a little different there, but Cole Trainor is the only one on the men's team graduating, so next year we will see some more experience and maturity from the men's team. Thanks for all the support from the community and sponsors, we strive to make you proud to be a Rustler fan!"
