Women lose at Sheridan

After a long christmas break the Lady Rustlers are back to work and opened up Region IX play wednesday at Sheridan. The Rustlers 0-1 in region play fell to the Generals 82-54.

The Rustlers opened the game battling for the lead with four lead changes in the first quarter, but struggled to compete and contain the Generals aggressive offense and good shooting.

Marissa Arnold lead all scorers for the game with a season high 22 points and five rebounds. Arnold went seven for 11 from the field and eight for 11 from the free throw line.

Poor shooting really hurt the Rustlers wednesday night as they only attempted 50 shots for the game and finished the night shooting 36 percent from the field, 16 percent from beyond the arc and 64 percent from the free throw line.
"This definitely was not a good performance coming off a break and we have a lot to do in the next two day before we play Northwest who beat Western Wyoming by 60 last night," said head coach Ken Swartz. "Marissa Arnold had her best game as a Rustler, she shot well and attacked the rim, other than that on offense we were pretty stagnate."
