Women get the win on Sophomore Night

The Lady Rustlers finished out the regular season with a win against Western Wyoming saturday afternoon beating the mustangs 70-61. The Rustlers finished out the regular season with a three game winning streak to finish the regular season 11-19.

Five Rustlers scored in double figures saturday lead by Paulani Tarawa with 23. Marissa Arnold put up 14, Brayle Crosman added in 11 and Alyzae Roberts and Megan Krahenbuhl added in 10 a piece. Crosman also pulled down 12 rebounds seven of which came on the offensive end.

The Rustlers outrebounded the Mustangs 54-36. The Rustlers also dished out 20 assists for the game. The Rustlers shot 43 percent to the Mustangs 32 from the field and 67 to their 56 percent from the free throw line.

"I'm really happy with our progress over the last three weeks," said head coach Ken Swartz. "It's nice to win three in a row right before the regional tournament. It was a nice win for our sophomores to go out on. We won six more games than last year and three more subregion games than last year. Hopefully we can carry all of this into our play in game at Miles City Friday. "

The Rustlers will begin post season play as they travel to Miles City for a play in game Friday March 2 at 5pm. The Rustlers split with the Pioneers in Region IX play this year.
