Lady Rustlers 0-2 at USU-E Invitational
The Lady Rustlers went 0-2 this past weekend at the Utah State-Eastern Invitational against Utah State-Eastern and Snow College. This put the Rustlers overall record to 2-2. The first opponent the Lady Rustlers faced was against Utah State Eastern. The game ended in a low score of 64 to 41. The leading scorers were Paulani Tarawa with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists and Tamia Cutignola with 8 points and 3 rebounds. The Rustlers ended the night with 15 turnovers.
The next night was a little better scoring wise, but unfortunately the Lady Rustlers did not get the win. Central ended up losing to Snow College, 63 to 53. Leading scorer was Paulani Tarawa with 23 points, 4 assist, and 6 rebounds. The second leading scorer was freshmen Essy Latu with 9 points. The Lady Rustlers will face Snow College again November 15th at the Pizza Hut Classic in Casper, WY.
Coach Fearing stated, "It was a bit of a rough weekend for the team, but it provided a blue print of what we need to work on for the rest of the year."
Next Up: Snow College November 15th at 5:30pm; Region IX opponent Northeastern Junior College November 16th at 5:30pm; and North Region IX opponent and last year's Region IX Champion, Casper College, November 17th at 3:00pm at the Pizza Hut Classic.
