Lady Rustlers 2-0 at WWCC Tournament

The Lady Rustlers had a great weekend at the WWCC Tourney beating Colorado Northwestern and the Elite All-Stars. The Lady Rustlers left the tournament 2-0, making their overall record 4-5.

The first game was against Colorado Northwestern.  It was a close game, but the Lady Rustlers got the win, 66-62. The Lady Rustlers had three players in double digits. Paulani Tarawa was the leading scorer with 18 points and 4 assists.  The second leading scorer was Essy Latu with 16 points and 6 rebounds, and the third leading scorer was Alyzae Roberts with 10 points and 6 rebounds. The Lady Rustlers will face Colorado Northwestern again this weekend. 

The second game was against the Elite All-Stars.  The Lady Rustlers kept their 20-point lead and got the win, 83-62. Paulani Tarawa was the leading scorer, again, with 19 points.  Rylee Burmester was the second leadiner scorer with 16 points. 

"This weekend showed us that our defense is what helps us stay in games, and win even when we are not shooting well. This weekend we finally put 3 quarters of a game together," stated Coach Fearing.

The Lady Rustlers next game will be Thursday, November 29th against Utah State-Eastern at 7:00pm and Saturday, December 1st against Colorado Northwestern at 4:00pm.
