Lady Rustlers lose to Gillette

Another slow start by the Central women spelled defeat, as they drop to 0-2 in conference play. Early foul trouble also hurt as the Rustlers shot only 31% in the first half and trailed Gillette by 16 at the break. Lindsey Fearing's team came alive in the second half and outscored the Pronghorns by 6 in the final two quarters.
Fearing said, "we need to play the first half like we do the second half and not dig ourselves a hole." Paulani Tarawa scored 18 to lead the Rustlers.
- Paulani Tarawa scored 18, followed by 15 from Essy Latu and 12 from Rylee Burmester.
- Central is 0-2 in league play and has lost 5 straight.
- Paulani Tarawa is 39 points out of #2nd place for most career points at Central since bringing the sport back 11 years ago. #2 is Jolanna Sazue and #1 is Courtney Patterson.
