Rustlers 1-1 Over the Weekend

Central Volleyball played at Sheridan and Powell over the weekend, bringing home one loss and one win.

CWC played in the Golden Dome at Sheridan College on Friday, and lost in 4 sets (18-25, 25-18, 21-25, 18-25).  The Lady Rustlers started the third set with a 6-0 lead, but ended up losing 21-25.  Coach Gallard commented, "this deflated us and we were not able to pull it back together."  Sage Bearnson would again lead Central with 13 kills, followed by Mackie McDonald who had 12.  Aubri Whatcott had 39 assists, and Jaden Daffer would add 14 digs.  Ava Rasmussen and Abigail VanVossen each had 5 blocks.

The Lady Ruslters travelled to Powell to play against Northwest on Saturday proving to be the better team, beating them in 4 sets (24-26, 25-22, 25-17, 29-27).  Sage Bearnson who averages 4 kills a set, had an impressive 28 kills to lead the Rustlers.  Mackie McDonald added 10.  Aubri Whatcott had an impressive 52 assists and 13 digs.  Paityn Williams would tie Whatcott in digs, with 13, but Jaden Daffer would lead the team in digs with 25.

Up Next:  Central will travel to Casper College on Halloween.  The match is set to start at 7pm.
