Cross Country Off To a Great Start

The Rustler Cross Country Team had a strong opening weekend in August when they ran against Southeast Nebraska on the Cowboy Trail.  CWC Freshman Jayden Yates finished in 2nd place while teammate Kenyion Townsend finished 3^rd.  Coach Lara was very pleased as all CWC runners ran faster than the old course record.

The CWC women dominated the course as Trysta Stingley finished in first, as she crushed the old course record finishing 1:24:00 ahead of all runners.  Rustlers Paige Flock crossed the finish line in 2^nd, Hailee Hunter 3^rd, Kathryn Sauerwein 4^th and Scarlett Sisemore 5^th.

This past weekend the team hosted the annual watermelon run, and will compete at the Bronco Stampede Invite in Hastings, Nebraska on September 14^th.
