Central saw their seasons come to an end Saturday in the first round of the Region 9 Playoffs.  The rustler women fell at Northwest 70-49 while the men were beaten at Casper 91-75.

Playing Northwest for a third consecutive time, the Lady Rustlers were outscored all four quarters in a 21 point loss.  After beating the trappers at home a week ago, the Lady Rustlers suffered a pair of losses at Powell by 28 and 21 to close out the year.  The Central women's season ends with a record of 6 and 21.

The Rustler men's team trailed Casper by 10 at the break, as the Thunderbirds went on to win by 16.  Nate Mims scored 23 with 9 rebounds while Niieihii Black tallied another double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.  It's his fourth double-double of the season and third in a row to end the year.  The Rustler men finish the season at 8 and 18 overall.

For the Central Ladies, it's the sixth straight season they haven't made the Region 9 second round.  The men's team hasn't reached the second round in two seasons.

Casper will host the Region 9 women's tournament while Otero College in Colorado hosts the men's.
