Results from Sheridan Rodeo

The Rustlers Traveled to Sheridan this past weekend for the second fall rodeo of the season. Despite the fact that they have been working hard and having productive practices, only one cowboy was able to gather up points.

Cole Trainor split second and third in the long round of the Steer Wrestling, after throwing his steer down in 4.3 seconds. In the short round, he was unable to get his hands on his steer when it ducked in front of his hazers horse, resulting in a no-time.

"The results from this past weekend are pretty disappointing." Said Coach Schrock. "I am only disappointed in what is on paper, not in the team. All in all they performed pretty well. All three goat tyers were just over a half second out of making the short round. Sadie Sturman did one heck of a job roping both her calf and steer. Rickey missed his horse out yesterday but made a really nice ride on a bucking son of a gun and Dakota Paris tried his guts out on a rank little bull on Friday night. This is a young team and they are working hard in workouts and in practice. I would say that our own horse power is hurting us the most, but I have visited with each of them about it and we plan on working on those things in the upcoming weeks of practice. This week we are at home, so no travel, but they do get the stress of working their hometown rodeo which can make for a long weekend."
