Tyler Ewell, Golf

Congratulations to Tyler Ewell for being chosen as the Central Wyoming College Student-Athlete of the Week!

Tyler is a sophomore on the Rustler men's golf team. Tyler is originally from Brigham City, UT, and came to CWC to begin Pre-Legal studies with the goal of moving on to law school and eventually he'd like to launch a career in politics or to work in the front office of an NFL franchise. Outside of golf, Tyler loves watching, talking and debating sports, as well as playing basketball and ping-pong. He is most passionate about working hard and giving the most effort in everything he does.

"I strive to work as hard as possible in school, on the golf course, my church responsibilities, relationships, etc. I believe that if you choose to do something, do it to the best of your capabilities and leave it all out there. Never leave room in your mind to doubt that you tried your best," remarked Ewell.

Tyler had a spectacular performance at the NCAA Division 2 golf inivitational in Spearfish, SD, where he finished in 2nd place, only 1 stroke behind the eventual champion of the event.

Head CWC Golf Coach Mike Neuman had this to say about his nomination of Ewell: "Tyler is the constant leader on the team, both on and off the [golf] course. He's a pre-law major and straight-A student throughout college. Tyler will have his choice of colleges to extend his golf career and academic career. He will be a great lawyer someday, one that I would call on if ever needed."
