Bio
Ashley Strickland was hired on as the Administrative Assistant III for Athletics and Student Life at Central Wyoming College in December of 2023.
She serves her role under the Dean of Students/Athletic Director. She provides support for the Athletic & Student Life departments in areas including but not limited to:
- Supporting student-athlete eligibility, processes, sponsorships & athletic fundraising
- Overseeing fiscal records including budgets, purchase orders and reports
- Supervising part-time student employees and maintaining student handbook
- Managing and updating the athletics website
Before Strickland started her position at CWC, she had built up her career in hotel hospitality for over a decade. She wore many hats, including that of Events Coordinator, Director of Sales, Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
Strickland lives her life with integrity and honesty. She firmly believes in treating others with kindness and respect, and her personal philosophy revolves around striving for personal growth and being accountable.
Her and her partner, Dustin Welch, have four children between them; Brayton, Austin, Ashtin, and Treston. In her free time, Ashley volunteers with Eagles Hope and Paws for Life, and enjoys reading, hiking, baking, yoga, and the outdoors.
