Rustlers take second to host Eastern at Torrington
At the end of last week, the CWC Golf team toured over to Torrington, WY to play in the Eastern Wyoming College Golf Tournament. Day one was cold and the Rustlers played through rain for most of the round.
Caige Toone shot an impressive 70 on the first day and had an outstanding top-5 overall finish. Hunter Hall put together another impressive week finishing T2 but holding on to the top spot in Region 9. As a team, the Rustlers shot 294 and 297 continuing the sub-300 streak, and finishing second to the host Eastern Wyoming.
Taylor Butler shot a season-best 84 on day two and finished in a tie for second place. "Taylor is going to make some noise in the women's Region 9 as the season progresses," mentioned Coach Neuman.
The Rustlers have a bye week this week and then will head to La Junta, CO next Thursday (9/28) and Friday (9/29).
