Woods Leads Rustlers to Double OT Win Over Gillette
Central hosted Gillette College on Saturday, February 1st in what would turn out to be a thriller of a ballgame. The Rustlers would come out on top 120-111 in double OT.
It was an exciting game from tip-off until the final seconds. Sophomore James Woods would have a career high 38 points, and would become CWC's new modern day leader for most points scored in a game. Woods went 5-8 from the arc, 12-22 from field goal range and 9-10 on free throws.
Darius Guinn contributed 24 points, 7 rebounds and had 3 steals. Other high scorers for the Rustlers were Dave Francois with 18, Jacob Smith with 12, Jerroda Briscoe with 12 and Anthony Mensah with 8 points.
Central's record is now 5-3 in conference, and 15-8 overall.
