Rustlers Beat Eastern Wyoming College; 79-77

CWC hosted Eastern Wyoming College Saturday, March 20th. The Rustler men had a rocky start and fell behind the Lancers for most of the first half. They were able to tie it up once with 40 seconds left (35-35) but lost that tie shortly after. With 15 seconds left, Jaylen Searles was able to hit a jump shot and bring the score to a tie once again. After ending the first half tied, 37-37 both teams came back hungry for the win. Central was able to keep a decent lead for a majority of the second half and finished the game with a 79-77 win over Eastern Wyoming College. This victory puts the Rustlers at a 2-5 conference record and an overall record of 3-12. 

Together, sophomore Jaylon Gentry and freshman A'Jahni Levias were the leading scorers for the Rustlers, both scoring 20 points each. Defensively, A'Jahni Levias and freshman Jaylen Searles were the top defenders. Levias crashed the boards, contributing 11 rebounds to the Rustlers. Searles was not far behind, with eight rebounds vs Eastern Wyoming. 

Up Next: The Rustles will travel to Casper, WY on Wednesday, March 24th to take on the Thunderbirds of Casper College.  Tip-off is set for 7:30pm MST.
