As the Central Wyoming Rustler golf team begin their upcoming season, they do so with forecasts of success on the horizon. The men's team finished their 2023/2024 campaign ranked in the top 25 in the nation, with a Region 9 individual champion & national tournament qualifier on their roster. Even with the addition of 5 new freshmen, the expectations Head Coach Mike Neuman has for his men's squad aren't budging one bit. His team has their sights on becoming the first CWC Men's golf team to win a region 9 title. High expectations for a young, but nonetheless very talented group. 

On the other hand, the women's team is aiming to add upon their five Region 9 titles they've earned in the past decade, four of which occured in the past 5 years. A clean slate with 5 incoming freshmen may be just what the Lady Rustlers need to get back on track on the Region 9 Women's side. Coach Neuman continues to stress the standard stays the same, even for a fresh group full of first-years. 

The golf team's season prep kicks off with their first day of practice on August 21st. Their first tournament event will be CWC's home event at Riverton Country Club on September 6th and 7th. Mike Neuman and his squads will look to send a very clear message of dominance right off the bat to the other Region 9 opponents.
