The men's and women's CWC golf teams continued Region IX tournament play when they traveled to Northeastern Junior College on Thursday and Friday, September 19 & 20.

The men's team was able to put together two great days of golf, two sub-300 rounds. However, an insanely talented Eastern Wyoming College team and Otero College team that surprised everyone by taking first place in the tournament stole the spotlight from the amazing performances of the CWC men's team, who were six strokes away from first place. Houston Dunn was the top golfer for the Rustlers this tournament, shooting even with par over both days and place tied for sixth in individual standings. Tyler Ewell and Brodie Dale both finished three over par, which landed them tied for 10th place. With five out of the six athletes on the men's roster being freshman, the Rustlers possess spoils of riches talent-wise for the future, which will hopefully involve competing for a Region IX title.
