Men's Rodeo Dominates in Fort Collins Competition

The Central Wyoming College men's rodeo team followed up a third place team finish at the rodeo hosted by Eastern Wyoming University from March 28-30 with a first place finish in the team category at the Colorado State University competition from April 4-6. The Rustlers received stellar performances out of Jace Mayfield and Stran Williams, who placed first and second in the individual overall standings, respectively. Eian Smith, Colton Clymer and Colson Myers also turned in outstanding runs in each of their events, and the men's rodeo team soared to their second finish in the top three in their spring rodeo competitions.
Tricia Lammers and Sydney Jones of the CWC women's rodeo squad competed at a very high level in Fort Collins as well, and wrapped the weekend up placing 3rd in Goat Tying and 10th in Barrel Racing, respectively.
Head rodeo coach Andrew Schrock was very pleased with his team's performance, and is looking forward to the last two rodeo competitions for his team this season.
"I am so proud and excited for this team," said Coach Schrock. "They have great chemistry that has been attributed to great weeks of practice and workouts between the rodeos."
