Well-Matched Conference Game Results in Tie for Men's Soccer

Central Wyoming's men's and women's soccer teams made the trek to Powell, Wyoming to take on the Trappers of Northwest College.
The men's match versus Northwest College was a clash between two physical teams and referees that allowed both teams to play their style of soccer. Across the course of the 90 minutes, three different Rustlers had to exit the match due to injury, and a combined nine yellow cards were distributed. The remaining team members rallied, and Pedro Belemont led the scoreboard charge for the Rustlers. Belemont was pulled down to the ground inside the penalty box and he was awarded a penalty kick, which he took advantage of and found the lower right hand corner of the goal. Belemont had his foot in the second Rustler goal, but this time he had a fantastic crossing pass to teammate Josh Bromwell. Bromwell was attacking from the backside and made magic with the ball, scoring his fifth goal in three games. The Rustlers couldn't squeeze anymore goals out before time expired, which ended the game in a 2-2 tie.
The Rustlers host their last two regular season games of the year at home, facing up against Laramie County CC on Friday, October 11, and Western Nebraska CC on Saturday, October 12.
