Bio

Jori Skaggs took over the reins as Head Coach of the Central Wyoming College Ranch Horse team at the beginning of the Fall 2024, having previously served as the Assistant Coach during the 2024 Spring season.

Skaggs grew up in Riverton, Wyoming and got her Business Administration degree from CWC in 2022. She has an impressive record of competing in Versatlity Ranch Horse before she became a coach at Central Wyoming. Her accolades as a competitior include such awards as:

National Reined Cow Horse World Championship: 2x Qualifier

Cowboy State Stock Horse Association: Super Horse Year End Champion Non-Pro

Hackamore Champion: Non-Pro Bridle Champion

Heart Mountain Rendezvous: Non-Pro Champion & Weekends High Fense Score

NILE Stock Show: Youth Versatility and Heritage Champion

Wyoming State Fair: Senior Trail Champion, Senior Cow Horse Champion, Senior Reining Champion, Senior Ranch Riding Champion, Senior English Equitation Reserve Champion.

Coach Skaggs believes with a strong commitment to sportsmanship, true success extends beyond victories. She strives to foster an environment of mutual respect and accountability, both in and out of the arena. Skaggs consistently encourages her teammates to uphold the highest standards while nurturing a positive and competitive spirit for everyone.

Skaggs has lead the Ranch Horse team to acheive recognition for several individual and team awards, including a Team Reserve Championship at the 2024 CoWN Fall Fest and coaching athletes Addy Wagner and Torry Helm to All Around Limited Non Pro Championships at the NJC Fall Showdown and CoWN Fall Fest in 2024(respectively). 

She loves to train and compete with her horses, as well as partake in her hobbies of woodworking, baking and fishing in her spare time.
