CSU Rodeo Results

"It was a great team effort by all but especially the Men's team," said Coach Schrock. "They ended up placing second behind the University of Wyoming which is something to be proud of. They also qualified each and every one of them that was entered back into the Championship Round in at least one of their events. We are definitely one of the smallest teams in the region but having all the points team qualify for the Championship round, along with those that aren't, is helpful because those that can't get team points are taking opportunities away from other teams from getting those points. So if you look at it like other team sports we had a solid offensive and defensive performance. Kennedy Sheehan had a solid run in the long round in the Goat Tying and placed fourth, but more importantly than that, she was mentally disciplined and followed through at the rodeo on some things she had worked on during practice last week. Being mentally strong is crucial at this level and beyond. Due to the spring storm rolling in this Monday and Tuesday, we will only practice a couple of days this week, but really it works well with our schedule because we get Easter weekend off and will be back on the road to Casper April 14th-16th."
