Robison Invitational Results

It was another successful weekend for the Central Wyoming College distance track team. At the 2023 Robison Invitational, many runners posted personal records in their events while reaching NJCAA national standards for Hobbs, NM. Coach Faure commented, “It was great to see the Rustlers give it their all from gun to finish. Our training is coming together and the student-athletes are posting very good times.” There were many good performances, one in particular by Sophomore Mitch Johnson punching his ticket in the 3000m steeple.

Mitch after placing 10th overall stated, “It was a great opportunity to run at BYU this weekend. I was able to qualify for nationals in the 3k steeple chase. It was a good day to be a Rustler!”

Luke Crossley had another stellar weekend, shaving 11 seconds off his previous personal record in the 1 mile. He stated, “Happy with the opportunity to race in Provo this weekend with some quality competition. My events both went well, and I’m happy with the pacing, grit, and lessons learned for next weekend. The whole team battled and showed determination.”
