The 2023 NJCAA National Championships will be remembered for the Central Wyoming College distance track team. This past week CWC took on a long travel week to compete against the best in Hobbs, NM. Coach Faure stated, “It means everything to a coach to see their student-athletes succeed. To compete at their absolute hardest with the utmost pride of CWC. I am very proud of Luke and Mitch as they left everything out on the track.” 

Mitch Johnson clocked a 9:51.65 3k steeplechase good for 11th in the nation! Mitch commented after the race, “Competing at nationals was a great experience.  Being able to represent at the national level was one of the best opportunities of my life and a fantastic way to end my collegiate running career.”

Luke Crossley clocked a 4:05.82 1500m becoming the 24th best in the nation! Luke said after his race, “It was fun to compete at nationals against the best runners in the nation. I was happy with the effort and am grateful for the opportunities at CWC to compete and grow as an athlete and person.”
