The Rustlers finish the semester 2-11 with losses at Western Nebraska this weekend. Friday, CWC squared off with the Lady Plainsmen of NJC. The Rustlers outscored the plainsmen in the final 3 quarters 63-60, but could not weather NJC's first quarter surge, falling behind 27-10 after one. The Rustlers were led by Ivana Bijic who had 19 points on 8/16 shooting, finishing 3/5 from behind the arc while pulling down 9 rebounds. Freshman Melanie Garcia and Sophomore Chevelle Boyd also finished in double digits with 13 points and 10 points a piece. O

Saturday, the Rustlers went up against the Cougars of Western Nebraska who are fresh off a trip to the women's' final four in last years NJCAA National Tournament. CWC came out hot matching the Cougars for nearly every point finishing the first quarter down 21-20. A second quarter dry spell and stifling defense proved too much for the Rustlers as the Cougars pull away for a 70-51 finish. The Rustlers were again led by Sophomore Ivana Bijic with 11 points, hitting 3 of five from deep. 

The Rustlers will return from the break to play at home January 5 vs Miles CC.
