Lady Rustlers Fall in Last Home Game to WWCC
The Lady Rustlers had hoped to end the home season with a win as they faced off with conference opponents Western Wyoming last night, Tuesday, February 28th in Rustler Gymnasium. However, the basket was closed on the Rustlers for most of the first half.

The Rustlers only connected on 9 of 31 shot attempts in the first half, with 2 from deep. Their only bright spots were going 7/10 from free throw in the first half. Trailing 42-27 at halftime, the Rustlers came out with more intensity as they shot 44% in the 2nd half and drained 6 3's. Altogether, it wasn't enough to slow down the Mustangs as they had 5 players finished in double digits. The final score was 91-65.

For the Rustlers, Melanie Garcia led the way with 22 points, contributing 9/10 from the free throw line. Freshman Criselle Mendoza followed with 14 points, draining 4 from 3-point range. Hadyn Collie contributed 9 points and 8 rebounds while Kamya Jones contributed 8 points on the night.

The Rustlers will head to Laramie County Community College this Saturday, March 4th to play in a Region IX play-in game.  Tip-off is scheduled for 2pm MST.
