Rustler Soccer Humbled by Nationally Ranked Salt Lake

Central Wyoming College soccer battled highly ranked soccer teams at Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, August 27. The women's team fell to the fourth-ranked Lady Bruins with a 10-0 score.

The women, now 2-1-1, hadn't been scored on in three matches before the onslaught of goals by the Region 18 favorites. Salt Lake scored early and never looked back in their dominant win.

Coach Steven Harrison felt his team played well the first 10-15 minutes, "but then our center/back player got hurt and we dropped from there.  We ended the first half with only 11 players available, which is not ideal versus a highly ranked team like SLCC."

The men fell 5-0 to the third-ranked Bruin men.  The Central men are now 1 and 3.

Central soccer hosts Casper Thursday, September 1, in a pair of non-league matches.

The men also fell 5-0 to the third-ranked Bruin men. They are running one and three for the season.

Central soccer will regroup to host Casper on Thursday, September 1, in a pair of non-league matches.
