Women's Soccer Struggles in Last Regular Season Away Game

Central Wyoming's men's and women's soccer teams made the trek to Powell, Wyoming to take on the Trappers of Northwest College.

The Lady Rustlers got out to a flat start, allowing four goals in the first twelve minutes. Now being forced to play catch-up, the CWC women were able to settle into a rhythm. Jersee Clapier got them on the board with a shot from inside the penalty box in the 20th minute. Clapier took a great pass from Kristen Moss and put it in the bottom corner of the net. The Lady Rustlers were unrelenting in their effort to shorten the scoring gap, striking again in the 32nd minute when Sienna Bodily set up Daisie Donegan with a pass right in front of the net. Donegan reacted quickly and caught the goalkeeper off guard, sending the ball home into the net. Despite over 30 shots on goal, the Lady Rustlers failed to convert anymore into goals. Combined with the juggernaut offense of Northwest College, the Lady Rustlers were outmatched, resulting in a final score of 2-9.

The Lady Rustlers host their last two regular season games of the year at home, facing up against Laramie County CC on Friday, October 11, and Western Nebraska CC on Saturday, October 12.
