Rustlers beat the Thunderbirds!

The Rustlers finished the regular season with a split on the road, beating Casper in three sets and losing to Sheridan in three sets.  Rylee Burmester led the way with 8 kills and 13 digs, as the Rustlers dominated Casper with scores of 25-22, 25-17 and 25-22.  Other standouts were Jensen Paris with 5 kills and 6 blocks, Kayla Coles with 7 kills, Alyssa Barkhurst with 6 kills and Taylor Hodges with 5 kills.

"We did very well!  The team played together and showed all heart and passion for the game. We had 6 service aces and Taylor Hodges had a .400 hitting percentage.  All in all, a great and well deserved win for Central" -Coach Gallard

The Rustlers battled against Sheridan the following night, but fell short 20-25, 20-25 and 21-25.  Leaders for the match were Jaida Spendelow with 9 digs, Tamara Lukic with 7 digs, Riley Haderlie with 15 assists, Jensen Paris with 6 kills and Rylee Burmester and Kayla Coles with 5 kills each.  "The girls came out a little timid and hesitated on essential balls.  They had good serve receive and progressed with their defense, but they didn't do it quick enough to come out on top.  We will be back in Sheridan in a few days and are prepared to win," said Coach Gallard.

The Rustlers will now play Casper College at 4:00pm on Wednesday November 1st in the  2017 Region IX Tournament in Sheridan.
