Rustler Volleyball 1-1 Over Weekend

The Rustler Volleyball Team hosted Eastern Wyoming and Laramie County over the weekend.  Central would sweep EWC on Friday night, but would get swept by LCCC on Saturday.

Central played some of it's best volleyball against EWC on pink night.  They played Eastern close all three sets (25-20, 25-23, 26-24), and proved to be the better team, winning in three.  Freshman, Sage Bernson, would again lead the Lady Rustlers with 12 kills.  Sage also added 2 ace serves and had 8 digs for the Rustlers.  Mackie McDonald would add 8 kills, Ava Rasmussen and Carly Connor added 7 kills and Abigail VanVossen added 6.  Jaden Daffer had another outstanding game with 18 digs.  Setter Aubri Whatcott had 3 kills, 38 assists and 7 digs.

Laramie County came off a 5 set loss to Western Wyoming, and swept Central in three sets.  CWC's kill percentage was almost exactly what it was against EWC the night before, but LCCC still came out on top (25-27, 15-25, 21-25).  Sage Bearnson led the Rustlers again in kills with 16.  Mackie McDonald added 5, and Kamiry Robison, Ava Rasmussen, Aubri Whatcott (setter) and Carly Connor all added four.  Whatcott had 34 assists and 6 digs.

Up Next:  The Rustlers will head to Sheridan and Powell this weekend.
