Rustlers Gearing Up for Conference Play
The CWC Rustler volleyball team traveled to Scottsbluff, Nebraska to compete at the WyoBraska Tournament on September 15th and 16th.  It was a two-day tournament hosted by Eastern Wyoming College and Western Nebraska Community College and featured most of the region's junior college teams.

On Friday, the Rustlers matched up against Northeastern Junior College, the nation's #6 ranked NJCAA team.  NJC proved they are worthy of the ranking, defeating CWC in three straight (25-17, 25-21 and 25-14).  In their next game, CWC faced the host team, the WNCC Cougars.  The Rustlers battled the Cougars but lost the match three sets to one (25-19, 25-22, 23-25 and 25-16).

Saturday was a rough day for the Rustler volleyball team.  In their second meeting of the year, CWC lost in three sets to Missouri State University-West Plains.  For their final match of the tournament, Central Wyoming faced Iowa Western Community College, losing 0-3. "Although we didn't get as many wins as we would have liked this weekend, I feel like we played really well as a team at times and I feel like we got better as a team, " said sophomore right-side, Brinley Hardy

The losses give the Rustlers a record of 2-14 heading into conference play next Friday at Western Wyoming Community College.
