Cross Country Runs in Twin Falls Meet

The Cross Country Team ran at the Dr. Thad Scholes CSI XC Classic in Twin Falls, Idaho on Friday, Sept 6. This was the first time any of the CWC cross country runners had run on the College of Southern Idaho course, and they did so against the likes of BYU, College of Idaho, Northwest Nazarene, College of Southern Idaho and Westminster College.

Kallee Cook ran a season personal record on the five km course, and posted a season time that qualified her for the NJCAA Nationals. The men's course was seven kilometers long, which was a first-time competition experience for freshman Zander Hinkley, who usually races at the five km distance. "He performed very well for his first time at this longer distance, and it should definitely help him prepare for his next race in two weeks," said Cross Country head coach Christy Chatfield.
