2019 Cross Country National Championships - Results

The 2019 NJCAA Men's and Women's Division I Cross Country Championships took place in Albuquerque, NM over the weekend.  The course was held on the University of New Mexico's North Golf Course.  Central traveled with a full team on the women's side, but unfortunately did not have enough men travelling to qualify in the team standings.  A total of 85 schools participated in the race; 290 runners on the women's side and 343 runners on the men's.

Central was led by Trysta Stingley who placed 76th overall with a time of 20:43.  Singley's time was 49 seconds short of 40th place.  All 40 top place runners receive All-American Honors.  Other top finishers on the women's side were Paige Flock (83rd) with a time of 20:50, Hailee Hunter (130th) with a time of 21:33, Kathryn Sauerwein (157th) with a time of 22:08 and Scarlett Sisemore (213th) with a time of 23:25.

Jayden Yates (141st) led the CWC men with a time of 27:35 (PR).  Kenyion Townsend (149th) ran a time of 27:42 and Brayden Kovick finished in 164th place with a time of 27:53.

Coach Lara is very proud of his runners and stated, "this was our best showing for CWC at Nationals since the start of our program 7 years ago."
